Recognition as “Preferred Airline” by world’s leading travel professionals is the latest in string of positive developments for independent airline
October 20, 2016 (Oxford, Connecticut) – Tradewind Aviation, operators of both on-demand private charter and scheduled shuttle service, has been admitted as a “Preferred Airline” into the world’s leading luxury travel network, Virtuoso®.
Virtuoso comprises over 390 of the finest travel agency members, with more than 11,400 elite travel advisors in 41 countries. It also enjoys preferred relationships with 1,700 world-class partners, including hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and airlines. The invitation from Virtuoso is the latest in a series of positive growth developments for the 15-year-old independent airline, which operates its own fleet of 19 aircraft. Tradewind recently welcomed a new COO, Andreas Ponce de Leon, and the airline added new routes from Westchester County Airport in New York to Stowe, VT; Boston, MA; Nantucket, MA; and Martha’s Vineyard, MA. In the Caribbean, Tradewind continues to raise the standard of regional travel, offering first-class connections to St. Barths, Anguilla, Nevis and Antigua. As with all Tradewind Aviation flights, the new routes offer passengers the luxury and ease of a private charter for the cost of a single seat. In the Northeast, Tradewind flights operate from private jet terminals with no TSA delays. In the Caribbean, Tradewind offers seamless airline connections and a private lounge in San Juan. All flights feature complimentary on-board snacks, drinks and checked baggage as well as no change fees.
“Virtuoso maintains extremely high standards, which is why we are so honored to receive the invitation to join as a Preferred Airline. This new collaboration allows us to grow our business among leading luxury travel professionals worldwide,” said David Zipkin, Vice President of Tradewind Aviation.
