April 18, 2023 (Oxford, Connecticut) – Tradewind Aviation, the acclaimed private aviation specialist and pioneer of the shared charter concept, announces its expansion into the Southeast U.S. with the September opening of a new aircraft base near Palm Beach, Florida, continuing its aggressive growth plans for 2023 and beyond.
Building on several recent growth developments, including their purchase of 20 new Pilatus PC-12 NGX aircraft and the addition of a new hangar facility at Hudson Valley Regional Airport in Poughkeepsie, NY , Tradewind’s opening of a Florida base is reflective of the continued rise in demand for private charter service, as well as Tradewind’s commitment to providing unrivaled regional mobility solutions for its growing clientele.
As Tradewind broadens its operations, the addition of a Southeast base marks a strategic move by Tradewind to bolster its presence in key emerging national markets, and enhance its ability to offer guests private charter solutions throughout the region, and between the U.S and The Bahamas. Tradewind’s new Florida base will also prove a strong economic driver in and around the Palm Beach area, while broadening its recruitment opportunities for pilots, ground crew operations, and more – a crucial consideration as the aviation industry continues to face labor shortages.
The new base will open in September 2023 and host a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft available for on-demand regional travel needs. Tradewind will offer their popular Goodspeed Card charter program to the region, and apply an occupied rate pricing model, allowing guests to pay only for the time they fly, with no reposition fees.
“We are thrilled to be expanding with a new Southeast hub, allowing Tradewind to better serve our growing client base throughout the Southeast,” said Eric Zipkin, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Tradewind Aviation. “With over 20 years of operation, our move into the Southeast will be a big advantage for us and further elevate the Tradewind offering.”
A trusted operator for over 22 years in the Northeast and 18 years in the Caribbean, Tradewind Aviation’s emergence into the Southeast market will further establish the company as the premier regional-travel industry leader in the U.S.’ highly competitive private aviation sector.
