It’s back to the grind after the holidays when everything seems to be speeding up again —company kick-off meetings, busy back-to-school schedules, and social engagements. It’s enough to drive any normal person nearly mad from trying to keep up.
For Tradewind Aviation’s guests, whose schedules are particularly strenuous, finding time-saving solutions to everyday problems is more important than ever. Our guests appreciate anything they can do to maximize quality time, minimize stress, and spend more time with those they love.
An easy solution to minimizing the stress of a jam-packed daily schedule is utilizing the convenience of Tradewind’s private service. It’s the fastest, most seamless way to travel throughout the Northeast, especially when trains, commercial planes, and roads are packed with travelers. See below for a typical day in the life of a Tradewind guest—and how the service works for them.
6 AM: It’s a cold winter morning, but our Tradewind guest, let’s call her Jane, has a full day ahead of her. It’s the last few days of winter break for her children before they head back to school, and she’s been looking forward to a wintry getaway with her family for months. But before the day starts for everyone else, she’s up for an early morning workout to start the day on a productive note.
7 AM: The rest of the family is awake, and the morning is a whirlwind of preparing breakfast, packing lunches, and ensuring everyone’s ski gear is ready to go for later that day.
8 AM: It’s time for Jane to get ready for an important meeting in Stamford, CT, which is typically a multi-hour car or train ride from her home in the Boston suburbs. But her team is traveling there via Tradewind private charter, which significantly cuts her travel time.
9:45 AM: Jane meets her team at Hanscom Field (BED/KBED) for their 10 AM flight. Rather than fighting morning city traffic to get to Boston Logan, Jane can drive just a few miles down the road to the most convenient airport for her. She meets her team at the private FBO just 30 minutes before their flight, and minutes later they’re aboard Tradewind’s 8-seat Pilatus PC-12 for a 40-minute flight to Westchester, NY (HPN/KHPN).
10:15 AM: The aircraft has reached altitude, and Jane and her team use the flight time to prepare for their meeting. The executive-configured seats allow for an easy face-to-face discussion with their notes spread out on the in-flight work tables.
11:30 AM: After a quick drive from the airport, Jane and her team arrive at their client’s Stamford office for a 2023 kick-off meeting. The team aces the meeting due to the quiet, uninterrupted time they had to successfully prepare on the flight from Boston.
2:30 PM: At the conclusion of the meeting, Jane and her team head back to the airport. The 40-minute flight back to Bedford is a time to review the day and celebrate a job well done.
4 PM: The team touches down in Bedford, but Jane’s day is far from over. Her partner and kids are at the airport, bags in tow, to start their winter getaway.
4:45 PM: It’s wheels up again, this time for a slightly longer (but still less than 50-minute) flight from Bedford to Lake Placid (LKP/KLKP). The remote upstate New York destination has long been a favorite of Jane and her family, but its location is nearly five hours away from their home by car, so visits are few and far between with their busy schedules. Tradewind’s private service makes it possible for the trip to become an annual occurrence. The plane is filled with excited chatter while the family enjoys complimentary snacks and refreshments while discussing which ski runs they plan to tackle first thing in the morning.
6:00 PM: The family disembarks to a real-life snow globe in Lake Placid and travels just 10 minutes by car to Lake Placid Lodge, their home base for this year’s winter getaway. The Lodge is decked out with cozy winter decorations, and it makes for a soothing atmosphere for enjoying family dinner by a roaring stone fireplace.
9:30 PM: With dinner finished and s’mores roasted, Jane and her family turn in for the night, eager to wake up the following morning to views of the lake and the snow-covered Whiteface Mountain, where they’ll be spending the rest of the trip enjoying each other’s company. Jane sleeps comfortably knowing that choosing to travel via Tradewind Aviation enabled her a productive day while maximizing family time.
